Gabicce Mare (Italy)

A restyling project for a tourist accomodation in the center of Gabicce Mare, that has led to the elaboration of multiple hypotheses, in search of the best facade solution in terms of exaltation during the night hours. This led to the excavation of the current cladding (coat) with progressive and crossed cuts at full height on the two main facades, replicating, in a modernist architectural interpretation, the shading of trees on the main street.

The result is a formal system where the cuts are marked by their shadows during the day and enhanced by housed-within led lines during the night.
